FINANCE OFFICER
PART TIME POST: 8 HOURS PER WEEK
12 month contract with 6 week probationary period (continuation subject to funding).
SALARY: £27,300 Full Time Equivalent Annual Salary (pro rata based on a 35 hour working week)
LOCATION: Combination of home and The Basement (to be agreed with Charity Manager)
POST TITLE: Finance Officer
RESPONSIBLE TO: Charity Manager
HOLIDAYS: 6 weeks annual leave and 8 bank holidays (pro rata for part time)
JOB PURPOSE: To provide financial management to the organisation. Working closely with the Charity Manager, you will have responsibility for financial administration, including the management of the accounts for the board of trustees, producing the financial information required for various funding returns, the day-to-day financial management, as well as undertaking general administration tasks under the guidance of the Charity Manager.
Little Lounge is a hyper local CIO based in Cilfynydd, near Pontypridd. Candidates will require an understanding of how small charities operate. Little Lounge is a Christian organisation and the teaching of the Bible is central to who we are and what we do. The applicant would need to have an understanding of how the Christian faith influences the work of the CIO and be supportive of the Christian culture.

MAIN DUTIES
- Record and reconcile all donations to the Charity.
- Record, reconcile, track income and expenditure against projects
- Check, process and record all payments, administer invoices and expenses claims received, code items to agreed budgets, and action payments.
- Liaise with Charity Manager to review budgets and expenditure as necessary prepare budget reports and other data as required.
- Maintain proper records for all the above on computer payroll and accounting package (Xero) and filing of all relevant paperwork.
- Provide reports and information to Charity Manager, Chair, bookkeeper and accountants as required.
- Occasional evening work will be required to attend board meetings when requested.

The service is Registered Charity and has a board of trustees and a full constitution to adhere to.

PERSON SPECIFICATION
- EXPERIENCE
You are required to have experience of:
- Accounting/book-keeping (experience with computerised accountancy systems eg Xero would be ideal).
- Administration
- Data recording and monitoring – preferably experience with electronic data recording systems
